This was a job for a builder local to us who approached us with an idea of a unit that could be used to store wood underneath to create a rustic feature in front of the television. The wooden logs underneath would fit the same style as the wooden feature window sill.
I was approached by the Concrete Society South West Region to design and manufacture a bespoke trophy for their upcoming golf day. This is the design I came up with and the final outcome of the trophy. This will be in circulation for years to come at their annual golf day.
Client required a bespoke piece to be the finishing touch on their kitchen and this is the finished result. We first created a few technical drawings to demonstrate the form and shape of the wall panel to the client. The main focus on this project was to get the plug sockets lined up in a way where the fluted feature would continue through the wall panel whilst merging into the very thin plug sockets that had already been installed before the job was undertaken. Wall panel spanning 2.7m all cast in one piece at 17mm thickness.
I was approached by the organiser who was looking for a statement centre piece for all of the tables at The Concrete Society South West Region annual lunch. The centrepieces needed to include space for some small flowers within the products and strongly displaying The Concrete Society logo. A process of sketching, CAD modelling, 3D printing and also silicone moulds were used to create these items.
This kitchen was created in collaboration with Focus Five Designs. Myself and Jake (owner of Focus Five) met at a trade show at the NEC, Birmingham. We discussed our interests and got talking about doing a project together. Jake created stunning oak cabinets, drawers and carcass units for the worktops to sit on all hand crafted in his workshop. These pieces of stunning oak compliment the dark concrete worktops wonderfully to make a stunning kitchen which will be a talking point of this residential property in Cheshire for years to come. I look forward to working alongside Jake again in the future - a very talented craftsman!
When we first started out, we created a range of simplistic homeware products in a range of colours. All products were designed by Luke and the moulds were created via a process of 3D printing and silicone moulding. These products are completely unique to The Concrete Corner and can be found at your local 'Craft and Flea' markets around the United Kingdom from time to time. We love going to markets and selling these products, interacting with wonderful customers and sharing our passion for concrete with people who may not have seen the material used in a decorative sense before.
Our client was on the lookout for something a bit more special to breathe new life into their space, as their old table tops simply lacked character. After discussing their vision, we introduced them to the exquisite world of microcement tables. With their sleek finish and unique textures, these tables not only offer durability but also a touch of contemporary flair that truly resonates with the client's desire for individuality. It's wonderful to see how a simple change can elevate a space, making it a more interesting and inviting place for everyone!
We were approached by a client to create a pair of outdoor coffee tables to add some character to their lovely front garden set up. These coffee tables were designed with a 'nesting' feature, meaning they can be slotted underneath one another or double up as two separate tables. A minimalistic and geometric talking point which adds functionality and awe to this wonderful garden patio.
As my friend's wedding approached, I wanted to create a thoughtful and unique gift that would truly stand out – a concrete charcuterie board. Both my friend and his wife love hosting dinner parties in their house and so I thought it would be a nice touch to create this for them. This bespoke charcuterie board not only celebrates their union but also serves as a functional piece for their future gatherings.
