Handcrafted Concrete Homeware

Bespoke Concrete Tables & Sinks

Designed & Cast in South Wales

Concrete has been part of my life from a young age. What started as a family trade has grown into a workshop focused on thoughtful, well-made concrete pieces.

Who we are

OUR STORY

Concrete runs in my family. My grandfather moved from Italy to South Wales in the early 1960s and started a terrazzo and concrete flooring business. My dad later expanded that work into larger commercial projects across the UK.

My own route into concrete came through product design at Nottingham Trent University, where I developed a strong interest in how the material could be used not just structurally, but as part of everyday design.

Concrete Corner brings those two sides together, traditional craft and modern design thinking.

Bespoke Concrete Pieces

A big part of what I do is custom work.

From coffee tables and dining tables to sinks, kitchen worktops and other concrete features, most pieces are designed around the space they’re going into.

Every bespoke piece starts with a conversation, understanding the idea, working through proportions, drawings and moulds, then casting and finishing it by hand.

No two projects are exactly the same, which is part of what makes the process interesting.

Frequently asked questions

What are your lead times?

We advise a standard lead time of 4–6 weeks for all store orders. Once your order is placed, we begin crafting your piece immediately.

If you require your item sooner, please get in touch w,e may be able to accommodate shorter time frames.

Bespoke enquiries follow a similar 4–6 week timeframe; however, additional communication is required for technical drawings, design approvals and sample testing. As all bespoke moulds are created from scratch, these pieces can take slightly longer, but we always strive to meet your preferred deadline.

How do payments work for store and bespoke orders?

For all homeware products available in the shop, you can purchase through a simple checkout process. Delivery costs are calculated based on the size and weight of your item, as well as the distance travelled.

For bespoke projects, a 50% deposit is required once all drawings, designs and sample colours are approved.

The remaining 50% balance is due within 7 days of installation. A delivery note will be provided and signed to confirm agreement before installation is completed.

Do you offer samples or custom colours?

We currently offer a streamlined selection of three core colours to ensure consistency and stock availability.

However, for bespoke projects, we are always open to exploring new colours and finishes. If you have a specific colour in mind, simply let us know, we will happily create custom samples upon request and send them directly to you.

Please note: Concrete is a natural material, so colour variation is normal. Subtle tonal differences and natural marbling are what make each piece truly unique.

How heavy is concrete?

Our concrete is cast at a minimum thickness of 20mm for structural strength. As a guide, a 20mm slab measuring 1m² weighs approximately 40kg.

For larger, statement builds, we commonly work at 60mm thickness, though we can produce thicker slabs if required for your project.

How do I care for my concrete piece?

All dining tables, coffee tables and bespoke items come with a full care guide upon installation.

We use a premium, high-performance sealer specifically formulated for our concrete mix. It is stain-resistant, but we always recommend wiping up spills, particularly acidic or highly pigmented liquids such as red wine, as soon as possible.

General care tips:

  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners
  • Use a microfibre cloth with warm water for daily cleaning
  • Apply a natural beeswax spray every month to maintain sheen and enhance the sealer
  • Use provided rubber feet under items like kettles, toasters or vases to prevent trapped moisture and marking over time
What type of concrete do you use?

We use an Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) blend, incorporating three different grades of sand to create a refined, natural finish.

This mix offers exceptional strength and allows us to cast pieces as thin as 20mm, reinforced throughout for long-term durability.

What should I expect during delivery and installation?

Our dedicated delivery and installation team manages the entire process from start to finish. Before the job begins, we’ll ask you to show us the access route to the installation area, this helps us plan how to manoeuvre your concrete safely and efficiently.

Delivery and installation costs are calculated based on mileage and the size of the project.

For local projects (Cardiff or within a 20-mile radius), installation for tables starts at £150.

Bespoke projects, such as multi-piece kitchen worktops, may vary depending on scale and complexity.
